I just tried to import the solution into my CRM Online account but I got exactly the same error, so it is not my on premise installation that seems to be causing the problem. Hope Vincent or somebody else can respond!

Hi,

The error suggest it is trying to write the number to a field not exist.

Can you check your target field have the excet correct name as you can see in the "Name" (the first column in your field, usually all lowercase).

Any more problem just let me know.

Hi Vincent.

Thanks for getting back to me. I think I got all the information in correctly:

This is the error message I am getting:

Unhandled Exception: System.ServiceModel.FaultException`1[[Microsoft.Xrm.Sdk.OrganizationServiceFault, Microsoft.Xrm.Sdk, Version=5.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35]]: Unexpected exception from plug-in (Execute): CRM_2011_Auto_Counter.MyPlugin: System.Collections.Generic.KeyNotFoundException: The given key was not present in the dictionary.Detail:

And finally, this is the information from the pluginregistration tool:

Hope you can help me, I really liked the CRM Extensions autocounter in version 3.0/4.0, this appears to be working quite like it!

Many thanks,

Hi Aad,

I just found out there is some error when I apply the counter to custom activity entities.

I will look in to this in a day or two and hopefully will fit it soon.

Hi Vincent,

Thank you for your email. I only tried out of the box entities like account and contact and they didn’t work either I am afraid. I tried CRM Online, partner hosted and I am pretty sure on premise, too. I think it is more than something with custom activity entities. I hope you can fix it, would be wonderful!

Many thanks,

Aad

I have deployed this to both on permises and online CRM 2011 without any major issues so far.

Untill yeaterday I doploy to a custom activity enitiy I returned with a simillar error.

Anywany I will have a look as soon as I have some time.

Aad,

Can you do a platform trace and post the error?

Jan 3, 2012 at 9:02 AM

Hi Vincent,

The problem turned out to be a IIS setting!! All is working perfectly now! I already expected it to be a server problem this time, it worked perfectly before even on the partner hosted cloud I use, so it had to be something the provider did not set up correctly. This site provided the solution in case more people send you this error: http://www.njevity.com/blog/crm-2011-securitynegotiationexception-error-after-publishing-plugin-entity-or-using-scribe-publ

Many thanks again and all the best for 2012!
